In case you missed it, Mozilla shipped Firefox 90 a week ago. The latest version of a popular alternative to Chromium includes background updates for Windows. That means Firefox can install a new version even if you do not open it for several days. Background updates will help you always have the latest version of Firefox with all available patches, fixes, and new features. Besides new updating mechanisms, Firefox 90 contains some privacy improvements, security fixes, and developer-specific changes.

Firefox 90 is the first major update after the recent redesign. Firefox 89 brought a new Proton UI with some radical interface changes. The browser from Mozilla may look a bit prettier now, but a new interface has some unexpected compatibility problems in the upcoming Windows 11. For now, Firefox does not support the Snap Assist feature, which is one of the most thrilling new capabilities in Windows 11. Luckily, you can fix missing Snap Layouts in Firefox on Windows 11 using one whacky trick.
