How to Change DPI Scaling Level for Display in Windows 10
The DPI value of a screen indicates how many dots per inch or pixels per inch it supports. As the resolution increases, the display density also increases. Here are a number of methods you can use to change DPI for a display in Windows 10.
With recent builds of Windows 10 which represent the Redstone 4 branch, Microsoft has implemented new options to fix apps that become blurry on your high resolution displays. Even if some app appears properly scaled right after you open it, it can become blurry when you dock/undock, use RDP, or change display settings.
When Microsoft started rolling out Windows 10 build 14986 for Windows Insiders on the Fast Ring, almost instantly some of the program members noticed a difference in how the OS renders some of the classic applications on high DPI screens, including Surface tablets. This change wasn't mentioned in the original blog post for the release, but a few days later the company has updated it with details about what's changed in DPI scaling.
