  1. unless this was fixed in a very recent update, it doesnt work on all files..
it fails for me on mkv’s for example

    1. In Windows 11, this only works on JPEG, TIFF, PNG, MP3, MP4, WMA, and WMV files. If you have MS Office installed, it also works on Office files. For other formats, you must use 3rd party tools. (e.g. BatchPurifier to remove properties from PDF)

  2. it does not work. not over properties and right click neither over the explorer. does Microsoft removed the option in windows 10 or what I miss?

  3. This doesn’t work for me, nothing pops up when I click on “Remove Properties and Personal Information”.

  4. Any reason why this works for some files and not others? I’ve been able to edit almost all of my song files (.mp3) except for a select few. I can’t figure out the difference between the two files?

  5. Have have done all this a dozen times. I have changed it in the properties tab. I have tried removing the property. I have made a copy with all properties removed. And the year is still there and will not go away or change. Everything else does. How is it possible for MS to mess stuff up so badly?

  6. if only there was a way to modify office open xml file data like where this file was last saved and on which computer, life would be really much easier.
