Xbox will soon automatically upload captures to OneDrive

Microsoft is developing a new feature that will allow Xbox users to automatically upload their screenshots and clips to the OneDrive cloud storage. The feature has been tested by Xbox Insiders participating in Alpha and Alpha Skip-Ahead. The option will allow Microsoft console owners to sync new clips to OneDrive and download existing videos selectively.

Users don't have to transfer their entire collection of videos - they can only select the ones they want to upload to the cloud storage.

Xbox Screenshots And Clips Will Soon Be Automatically Uploaded

Microsoft also warns that uploading a large number of clips can take several days, however, the transfer is carried out in the background. Once automatic uploads for future videos and screenshots are enabled, the content will appear in their respective folders in OneDrive, where they can be viewed online on a PC, Mac, or the OneDrive mobile app.

However, Microsoft has not increased the download speed of the clips, which still take a long time to download even with a fast connection. At the time of testing, there is no option to automatically send video in 4K. This option is coming in the near future. Microsoft usually tests Xbox features a few months before public release.
