Today at an event in New York, the Redmond firm announced Microsoft Copilot. In company's vision, it will become a unified digital assistant, which will be available on Windows, Microsoft 365, Edge and Bing. The implementation of the idea is just started, so Copilot will not yet be available in all Microsoft products.

Microsoft Copilot will first appear in the Windows 11 operating system. This will happen on September 26, 2023, along with the release of a new feature update "version 23H2" . Windows Copilot will be available for free.
Windows Copilot
Microsoft says that with Copilot, you can reduce cognitive load by completing your tasks faster and easier. In addition, Copilot will be able to manage computer settings, launch applications and answer various user questions. Because Copilot will be deeply integrated into the operating system, it will be able to create text messages using data from, for example, the Outlook calendar.
Copilot will always be available in the Windows taskbar. You can also launch it using the WIN + C keyboard shortcut. Copilot will appear as a sidebar on your desktop.
Bing Chat Enterprise
Bing Chat Enterprise is mostly similar to Microsoft Copilot. Its main difference is the protection of confidential data. You can be sure that information will not leak outside the organization. Data in Bing Chat Enterprise is not stored, Microsoft does not have access to it, and it is not used to train large language models (LLMs).
Bing Chat Enterprise costs $5 per month per user. The service is included with Microsoft 365 E3 and Microsoft 365 E5 subscriptions.
Microsoft 365 Copilot
Microsoft 365 Copilot is based on Bing Chat Enterprise but is a standalone solution. It provides enterprise-grade security features, enhanced privacy, regulatory compliance, and responsible AI. Data processing is done inside the Microsoft 365 tenant using technologies that customers have been using for many years.
Microsoft 365 Chat is a new Microsoft 365 Copilot tool that lets you solve your most heavy routine tasks using all the data available to you—email, meetings, chats, documents, and more. It's integrated into Microsoft 365 apps, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and more.
Microsoft 365 Copilot is already being used by tens of thousands of enterprise users through the Early Access Program (EAP). Clients include companies such as Visa, General Motors, KPMG and Lumen Technologies.
Microsoft 365 Copilot will be publicly released on November 1, 2023. From this day on, all corporate clients will be able to subscribe to the service at a price of $30 per month per user.
