If you are a Windows 11 insiders on the Release Preview channel, then you can start testing the Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA). It allows running Android apps on Windows. The new ability was announced by the Windows Insider team here. Previously, only insiders on the Dev and Beta channels could use this feature.
Unfortunately, the support for Android apps is still limited to users from the US. While interested folks can sideload APKs and even install Google Play, there are still some restrictions. Specially, the Amazon Appstore that works as the default app provider in WSA may require you to have a US account.
Another good news regarding WSA is that it already entered public testing on the stable version of Windows 11. Earlier today, Microsoft announced that support for Android applications is coming to Windows 11 stable next month. Today's release of WSA to the Release Preview channel will allow Microsoft to collect extra feedback and apply advanced tweaks and minor changes to the feature before making it available to a wider audience.
