Firefox version 116 will remove the "about:performance" built-in page. It provides information about the CPU load and memory consumption for open pages.
The reason for the removal is the addition of the another page, "about:processes". The latter exists since Firefox 78, and offers more convenient and richer functionality.
The newer "about:processes", in addition to hardware resources usage, also shows information for service process and background workers CPU and memory consumption. It also shows these details per tab, and can show resource usage arranged by domains.
However, the older "about:performance" offers a useful view with resources used by add-ons, which the newer one lacks.
The "about:processes" UI now opens by default when selecting the "More Tools -> Task Manager" menu entry. After the removal of the "about:performance" page from the browser, entering its address in the URL box will take you to the "about:processes" page. The redirect will be done automatically.
