Microsoft has announced a new improvement that soon comes to the Edge browser. It will allow you to open your bookmarks always in a new tab.
You will find the new option in Settings, in its Appearance section. It's a toggle in edge://settings/appearance
right under "Show favorites bar".
Sadly, the new feature is in a gradual roll-out to Edge Dev and Canary insiders, so some users won't have it out of the box.
The official announcement says the Edge team is also adding the ability to close tabs with a double click, and search through your Collections. Both are a welcome change for many, as follows from company's feedback data.
The most recent release of Edge as of this writing is Edge 108. It doesn't offer much on the consumer side, but includes important fixes and general improvements. Also, it is the first release of the browser that supports Microsoft Defender SmartScreen in Linux version of the browser.
